Terms of Service

Last updated August 27, 2026

Welcome to DeerDayly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DeerDayly (the "Service"). By creating an account or using DeerDayly, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Who can use DeerDayly

You must be at least 13 years old to use DeerDayly. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password (or, if you sign in with Google or a passkey, your associated credentials) secure, and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has access to your account.

Your content

Everything you write and post on DeerDayly — journal entries, photos, comments, and anything else — is yours. We don't claim ownership of it.

To operate DeerDayly, you grant us a limited license to store, host, and display your content back to you and to whichever audience you've chosen for it (private, followers, or a community), strictly according to the visibility settings you control. We don't use your journal entries for anything beyond running the Service you asked for — we don't sell them, and we don't use them to train unrelated products.

You're responsible for what you post. Please don't post anything that:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service, as-is

DeerDayly is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We're a very small team — please be patient with us, and let us know when something's broken.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DeerDayly and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount, if any, you've paid us in the past twelve months.

Ending your account

You can stop using DeerDayly at any time, and can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing janina@deerdayly.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that are inactive for an extended period, with notice where reasonably possible.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as DeerDayly grows. If we make a material change, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use DeerDayly after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
